Article images and descriptions are now shown by default, and both can still be turned off from the Settings screen. News sources with multiple feeds now appear as a single combined feed. This release also includes polish, performance, UX, and reliability improvements.

Winnipeg News has been completely rewritten and modernized. This update also fixes bugs that prevented certain news sources from loading. Happy 14th birthday to the Winnipeg News app!

Winnipeg Free Press feed has been updated one that serves local news. Also fixed the Manitoban and Goldeyes feeds. Sorry these fixes took so long.

Fixed issues users were having with Winnipeg Free Press news feed. Unfortunately I had to remove the Blue Bombers and Winnipeg Jets from the app as their news feeds often included errors that prevent loading. I'm sorry that a fix for those sites was not possible.

Fixed issues users were having with Winnipeg Sun, APTN, and Kenora Daily Miner and other news feeds. Unfortunately I had to remove the Brandon Sun and the Uniter from the app as their news feeds often include errors that prevent loading. Sorry about that. The app was also updated to compile with Google's new News App policies.

Temporary bug fix for Android 5 users: Due to a bug in the in-app browser, articles will be opened using the system browser when using an Android 5 device. To return to the app from a news article use your device back button.
